TikTok is full of tempting recipes. If you spend any time there, you'll certainly have seen this interesting trend of upside-down tartlets (better known as the Upside Down Puff Pastry Hack). We've decided to offer upside-down tartlets in 3 flavors, thanks to our Extra Virgin Olive Oil Balanced. We promise that once served at the table, everyone will be talking about them!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 x 454 g shortcrust pastry, rolled out and cut into 10 rectangles
UPSIDE-DOWN SHALLOT TARTLET
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil Balanced
- Organic Balsamic Vinegar
- Fresh thyme
- French shallots, thinly sliced
- Parmesan, grated
- Maison Orphée's Fleur de sel
UPSIDE-DOWN TOMATO TARTLET
- Balanced extra virgin olive oil
- Organic White Balsamic Vinegar
- Fresh oregano
- Cherry tomatoes, halved
- Mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
- Maison Orphée's Fleur de sel
UPSIDE-DOWN ASPARAGUS CROQUE-MONSIEUR TARTLET
- Balanced extra virgin olive oil
- Quebec honey
- Sliced white ham, minced
- Asparagus heads
- Swiss cheese, sliced
- Maison Orphée's Fleur de sel
PREPARATION
- Place rack in center of oven. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with reusable baking paper or parchment paper.
- On the baking sheet, drizzle with balanced extra virgin olive oil. Add the tartlet ingredients in the order they appear above. Cover with a rectangle of shortcrust pastry and seal the edges with a fork.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to a wire rack and let cool. To serve, garnish with Maison Orphée Fleur de sel.
