In recent years, condiments have gained their letters of nobility on our tables. The best of a condiment is to be homemade. Here is a recipe for a very simple B.B.Q. sauce (if you miss it, call us, there must be a problem with your stove). You will be proud to invite your friends to your house and tell them that you made the sauce!
INGREDIENTS
- ¼ cup (65 mL) Organic turmeric yellow mustard
- 3 tbsp. Ranch Marinade Dressing
- 1 tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. or 1 tbsp. cayenne powder, to taste
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) Apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) brown sugar
- 4 tbsp (60 ml) honey
- 1 ½ tbsp (20 ml) tamarind sauce (Worcestershire type)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Touch of rosemary, if desired
PREPARATION
- In a saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil while stirring with a whisk.
- Simmer for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
We recommend marinating your ribs with this sauce and putting some in a bowl when serving to delight sauce lovers.
Serve cold or hot on a mechoui or in a burger. Cold, it replaces ketchup for your fries and as a side dish for meat pies. Hot, it is ideal for steaks and grills, especially on ribs before, during and after cooking.
