Homemade Hummus with Seasonal Vegetables

Because entertaining doesn't have to be a hassle, here's a hummus recipe that's perfect for sharing as an appetizer or as an accompaniment to a meal. We suggest you use what you have on hand and add seasonal vegetables. A little delight that your guests will certainly appreciate!

 

INGREDIENTS

Hummus
  • 1 can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • ¼ cup of water
  • ¼ cup of balanced extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp. tahini (sesame butter)
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • The juice of half a lemon
Trim

 * We used roasted chickpeas, preserved lemon and chopped chili.

 

PREPARATION

  1. Place chickpeas in a food processor. Add lemon juice, water, olive oil, tahini and garlic.
  2. Mix until smooth and homogeneous.
  3. Place hummus in a soup plate and garnish with seasonal vegetables and fresh herbs.
  4. Add fleur de sel and pepper and finish with a drizzle of garlic olive oil.
  5. Enjoy!
