INGREDIENTS
- 4 chicken breasts
- Maison Orphée's Extra Virgin Olive Oil Balanced
- Fresh mozzarella, sliced
- Sliced tomatoes
- Cherry tomatoes, halved
The finishing touches
- Maison Orphée's Basil Olive Oil
- Basil, fresh
- Fresh oregano
- Maison Orphée's Fleur de sel
- Pepper, to taste
PREPARATION
- Place the rack in the middle of the oven. Preheat oven to 415°F (210°C). Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Heat a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add Maison Orphée's Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Season breasts with pepper and salt and place in a hot skillet.
- Cook for 3 minutes without stirring or until chicken is golden brown. Turn breasts over and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Place a slice of cheese and tomato slices on each piece of chicken. Add cherry tomatoes to the pan. Bake for an additional 10 to 13 minutes, or until cheese is melted and an instant-read thermometer registers 165ºF (74ºC) when inserted into the center of the largest chicken breast.
- Add a drizzle of Maison Orphée's Basil Olive Oil, fresh basil and oregano to serve. Add a pinch of Fleur de Sel and pepper to taste.
PRO TIP
If you don't have an ovenproof pan, you can start cooking on the stove and transfer the breasts to a baking sheet to finish cooking in the oven.
