DIY Bath Salt

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Yield: 120 to 150 g of exfoliant

This bath salt recipe is just what you need to achieve soft and radiant skin, just like after a relaxing day at the spa!

Customize your experience with our Maison Orphée oils: Extra Virgin Olive Oil Delicate, Organic Unrefined Sunflower Oil, or Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. For a floral touch, add dried flowers like lavender, calendula, or camomile, or let your creativity flow by choosing your favourite blooms.

And when it comes to containers, it’s as easy as reusing an old Maison Orphée mustard or mayonnaise jar to give your containers a second life!

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 g of Maison Orphée Coarse Grey Sea Salt
  • 5 ml of Maison Orphée Extra Virgin Olive Oil Delicate
  • 10 g of baking soda
  • 15 drops of essential oil of your choice (see tip)
  • Dried flower petals (rose, cornflower, and marigold)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mix the salt with the baking soda in a bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl, blend the essential oils with the olive oil.

  3. Gradually add the oil blend to the salt and baking soda, gently stirring to combine. Add dried flower petals and/or a few drops of natural colouring for an aesthetic finish.

  4. Store the blend in a pretty, airtight jar.

HOW TO USE

Before stepping into your bath or shower, apply the exfoliant to damp skin using gentle circular motions. After thoroughly massaging, rinse well.

TIP

If you choose to use essential oils, it's advisable to consult your esthetician. Some oils can be irritating or require special precautions for safe use on the skin.
