Here is our 100% vegan version of the classic tuna salad. It can replace traditional tuna salad perfectly for your next potluck or family meal. It's an easy go-to recipe beloved by young and old alike. It can be served in sandwiches, with a fresh salad or in a pasta salad.
INGREDIENTS:
- ½ cup (125 ml) chickpeas, cooked and mashed with a fork
- ¼ cup (65 ml) walnuts, chopped
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) green apple, diced
- 1 lime
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) red onion, diced
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) capers
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) pickles, diced
- Salt with herbs of Provence Maison Orphéeto taste
- Freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) Vegan mayonnaise style sauce
PREPARATION:
Cut the vegetables and fruits. Add a bit of lime on the apples.
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
This faux-tuna salad is delicious in a sandwich made with toasted bread and tomatoes. You can also serve it in romaine lettuce leaves or with pita bread. We also suggest trying it with a cold pasta salad.
