Chou-fleur épicé rôti

Spicy Oven-Roasted Cauliflower

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Yield Serves : 4 to 6 servings

A simple and tasty recipe that is the perfect side dish to all your main dishes. By offering a different way to cut cauliflower, sliced rather than in florets, your guests will be surprised and delighted.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 to 4 tbsp. (30 to 45 mL) olive oil with pepper Maison Orphéedepending on the size of the cauliflower
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) liquid honey
  • 1 cauliflower, cut into thick slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Sea salt with aromatic herbs Maison Orphéewith the taste

* Cut the cauliflower into slices this will increase the surface area in contact with the cooking plate and thus allows better caramelization. The slices also can be flipped over more easily.

PREPARATION:

Place the rack in the bottom of the oven. Preheat oven to 200oC (400oF).

In a bowl, mix the olive oil with honey. Add sliced cauliflower and coat them well. Add cumin and sea salt.

Transfer to a large baking sheet and lay cauliflower slices flat side down. Make sure slices do not touch each other.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until slices are tender and golden brown, turning halfway through cooking.
