Is there really anything more summery than a delicious BBQ burger? We don't think so!
That's why, for our July recipe in collaboration with GUSTA, we've come up with a great meatless and vegan alternative. To make it happen, we used GUSTA's slicable seitan burger, which cooks beautifully on the grill and has a great texture and flavor!
And to top it all off? Our vegan mayo style sauce combined with our turmeric and pepper marinade dressing. A real treat!
INGREDIENTS
- 4 to 6 slices of GUSTA Seitan Burger (about 1 inch slices)
- 1 to 2 sliced avocados
- 1 large red onion, sliced
- 4 to 6 vegan burger buns of your choice
- Crunchy lettuce of your choice
- 1/3 cup vegan mayonnaise style sauce
- 2 tbsp. yellow mustard with turmeric
- 1 tbsp. cider organic red wine vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
PREPARATION
1. Cut up all the vegetables and the slices of seitan burger. Set aside.
2. Mix the vegan mayonnaise style sauce with the turmeric mustard, cider vinegar and salt and pepper. Set aside in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
3. Preheat the BBQ to high and oil the grates.
4. Grill the seitan burger slices and onion rings for about 3 minutes on each side. Toast the buns to taste.
5. Assemble the burgers and serve with the side dish of your choice. Enjoy in good company!
