These granola bars are a delicious way to combine indulgence and fuel, while showcasing our coconut oil, known for its smooth texture and natural benefits. Easy to prepare, they strike the perfect balance between crunch and sweetness, thanks to a wholesome blend of nutritious ingredients.
Perfect for lunchboxes, they also tuck neatly into a backpack for hikes, picnics, or busy days. A healthy, homemade snack that goes wherever you do!
INGREDIENTS
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) peanut butter
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) Maison Orphée Virgin Coconut Oil (or Deodorized)
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) honey
- 500 ml (2 cups) rolled oats
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) pumpkin seeds
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) chia seeds
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) ground cinnamon
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) dark chocolate chips
- A pinch of salt
Topping (optional)
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) chocolate chips
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) Maison Orphée Virgin Coconut Oil (or Deodorized)
INSTRUCTIONS

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the peanut butter, coconut oil, and honey. Stir until smooth and well combined. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a large bowl, combine the oats, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, cinnamon, chocolate chips, and salt.

Pour the warm mixture over the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly with a spatula until everything is evenly coated. Note: the chocolate chips may melt slightly—this adds richness!

Line a square pan (about 20 cm x 20 cm / 8 in x 8 in) with parchment paper. Transfer the mixture into the pan and press firmly with the back of a spoon or your hands to compact.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, until the bars are firm.

Once set, cut into 12 equal bars.

For the optional topping: melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil in the microwave, in 30-second intervals, stirring between each. Drizzle over the bars and refrigerate again until the chocolate sets.
