L'original pâté végétal

The Original Veggie Pie

For all the veggie pie lovers out there, or for those who are simply looking to incorporate more plant-based protein into their meals, here's one of our recipes that we've loved for over 20 years that you're sure to love: our original veggie pie. Try it, we're sure you'll love it as much as we do!



  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • ½ cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1 raw potato
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 onion, medium size
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 cup of nutritional yeast
  • 3 tbsp. lemon juice
  • ½ cup of soy beverage
  • 1/3 cup of parsley
  • ¼ tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. fine grey sea salt with herbs
  • ½ teaspoon fresh pepper
  • 3 tbsp. pistachios
  • ¼ cup of virgin sunflower oil
  • 2 eggs (optional)



  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grind cashews and sunflower seeds in food processor. Set aside in a bowl.
  3. Puree potato, garlic and onion in food processor. Set aside.
  4. Chop parsley in food processor.
  5. In a bowl, mix all ingredients. Pour into a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a bain-marie in the oven for two hours.
  7. Enjoy!
