As you might expect, tortizza is a cross between "tortilla" and "pizza". Simple and effective, it's proof that you don't always need a thick crust to make a delicious pizza!
We present you this version with sausage meat instead of the classic pepperoni. It's up to you to choose your favourite, whether it's made from animal or plant-based proteins!
INGRÉDIENTS
- 2 flour tortillas, medium size
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) pizza sauce
- 250 ml (1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) artichoke hearts
- The meat of 2 sausages, chopped
- A few leaves of fresh basil
- A drizzle of Maison Orphée's Spicy Olive Oil
PRÉPARATION
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Place one tortilla on a baking sheet. Spread half of the cheese over the tortilla and cover it with the second one.
- Spread the pizza sauce over the top tortilla. Top with the remaining cheese, artichoke hearts and sausage meat.
- Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
- Add the basil leaves and drizzle with spicy olive oil, to taste. Serve hot.
