If there's one salad Kitskitchenkrush would eat every day, it's their refreshing, vibrant and filling Strawberry and Balsamic Salad recipe, the secret of which is the use of some of our products.
A real fresh and tasty delight, perfect to accompany all types of dishes or to enjoy as a meal by adding grilled fish, chicken breast or braised tofu!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups ripe strawberries
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 8 cups mixed greens
- ½ cup pecans (toasted or glazed)
- 2 oz feta cheese, crumbled
Balsamic Vinaigrette
- ¼ cup and 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp. honey or maple syrup
- 2 tsp. The mustard
- 1 clove garlic, grated
- ½ teaspoon fine gray sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
PREPARATION
- Toast ½ cup of pecans on a dry skillet, stirring frequently, until golden and fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a medium bowl, combine all vinaigrette ingredients.
- Thinly slice strawberries and onion.
- Place lettuce in a bowl. Add strawberry and onion slices, toasted pecans and crumbled feta cheese.
- Add the vinaigrette and sprinkle with a little sea salt.
