Maison Orphée is among the pioneers of extra virgin olive oils in Canada. Since 1983, our expert tasters have been establishing partnerships with producers in both the northern and southern hemispheres to discover delicate, balanced, and fruity oils that meet rigorous quality standards.
All our oils are classified as "extra virgin", synonymous with quality. They are "virgin" due to the cold-press extraction process they undergo, and "extra" for their absence of defects (e.g., rancidity), but also for the presence of three positive characteristics: peppery, bitter, and fruity.
